Dear Bob, What a pleasure it has been to get to know you via the OYB - bike riding group. I've always appreciated people like you, who have a high degree of integrity, are humble, appreciative of others and a great pleasure to be with. You've enriched my life, just by being able to share conversations and bike rides over time, little by little. Sometimes moments like those are the most precious, not the big, monumental events, but the small treasures that just happen to pop up over time. I'll miss you, but I'm sure you'll pop back in to say "hi" in spirit and I'll continue my appreciation of you through people we've shared time with in the OYB group, not the least of whom is Viv. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us. With Great Appreciation, Audrey

We feel privileged to have known Bob. His kindness, positivity, friendship and enthusiasm for life was wonderful to be a part of.We will miss greatly our chats over the verandah about roses, his latest bike ride, composting, politics and lockdown. The five oclock service seemed fitting, as it was the time Bob was enjoying being out on his bike.

So many memories of Rob. My own special garden helper. Will be so sadly missed by us all.
John & Sally Guggenheimer — 6 February 2021
Bob was a good friend since our meeting in Sabah, Malaysia where he skilfully taught me (Sally) how to teach teacher trainees. Later John and I had the pleasure of many times together in Australia. Bob knew how to keep us entertained and how to encourage us to think more deeply about many topics. Best of all, he shared himself and his family with us so we learned how to become Aussies, too. Thank you, Bob.

Rob was a valued cousin and like-minded friend that I have enjoyed doing many mutually enjoyable activities with, as well as having many invigorating and satisfying discussions with him. It is very sad to have to say goodbye to him but we both recognise that life is temporary and we accept that we must face this reality.

I count myself fortunate to have Rob as a relative who became much more - a friend. I already miss the animated discussions, being able to do a range of like minded activities, and sharing family concerns.
