Ian will be missed for his loveable personality and vibrant sense of humour, with a dad joke for every occasion. He loved his career at Coles, brightening the lives of many and going above and beyond in every aspect. He was a devoted son to his mother and father, stopping work to become a full-time carer for them when illness struck.

Ian was always the friendliest person in the room, no matter which room he walked into. He made everyone feel like they were the most special person—many people were told they made the second best biriyani in the world, because the first was always his mother. He entertained many with his vast general knowledge, from the latest sports events to world politics, often embellishing the truth for a good story.

We will forever cherish his sunny nature and his beautiful smile.


Join us to honour the memories and celebrate the life of Ian Hereford. The funeral service will be held at the Anglican Church of the Ascension starting at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 23rd.

For those who cannot attend in person, the service will be live streamed via the 'View Event Video' link in the grey box below. A final recording will also be made available at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Amaze Autism Organisation would be greatly appreciated.The funeral for Ian will be held at Ascension Anglican Church on Monday 23 February 2026, at 2pm.

Ian will be privately cremated.
