I worked as a member of the English staff for many years, including when Val was Deputy Principal. I liked and admired her very much and was one of the many teachers who helped create the quilt when she left Korowa and also a recipe book of staff favourites. She left her mark on the school and was very much missed when she retired.

Im Sister of Ann Tregear's so similar history with Val.I do remember her wedding to John in our house. We saw each other over the years and also in the last years precovid.I always liked her very much.Val was always interested in how everyone was and a very friendly person.RIP VAL.

So sorry to read of the death of our cousin. Val lived near my parents when at teachers college, looked after us and we often visited her family country home. Her reception was at the house, (a lovely picture on her wedding day) and we have had shared many family times together over the years. Always cheerful and fun to be with. Val will be missed.

Val was a wonderful woman, kind, brave, honest and wise. She was courageous in the face of the knocks life gave her. She was delightfully witty. She was an admirable professional, a model for those she led. I am grateful to have known her and to have been blessed with her friendship over many years.
