I haven't know Tanya for very long - just under 3 years. We met as two new members of Bayside Cycling Club but I was drawn to her warmth, openess and kindness as we rode together and settled into the club that welcomed us both. Our shared background in the health industry and love of travel brought us closer together as we met for coffee and got to know each other more. She always had a smile and was so full of positivity even when joining our rides became too much for her. She spoke with love and pride of her children and husband, and with gratitude for the high quality healthcare that supported her down a long treatment road.I'm so sorry I couldn't attend her funeral as I was overseas. Gone too soon and sadly missed. RIP Tanya.

Tanya was a beautiful person and dear friend. We have many friendships in life, but few are truly genuine. Tanya was one of those rare people honest, loyal and a true friend. We followed each other from clinical trials to research support at CERA and I learnt so much from her both personally and professionally. My deepest condolences to Sini, Anna and Stefan. I feel as though I knew you intimately through Tanya, she spoke of you so often and with such love and pride.

Tanya was our friend, in our year level at university on her pathway to a career in Orthoptics. Always thinking of others and dedicated to her profession, she was a very special person, as we know. It was a pleasure to know Tanya. Gone too soon. A beautiful service today. Thinking of Tanya's family and wide circle of colleagues and friends. Julie Fitzpatrick (nee White)

I knew Tanya though her career in orthoptics and also through her time in HR at CERA. As many people have already reflected on , Tanya was a funny, kind, professional [with patients and staff] and happy for a chat or debrief. My thoughts are with family and her many friends that were touched in some way by their time with Tanya

Sorry that you had to join our community of people with lung cancer , gutted that this unforgiving illness took you away from your loved ones and us so fast . In managing to still share virtually your experience and research on our treaded MLD , you helped thousands of us world wide . Humility, intelligence , humour and care , you treaded on the world lightly Tanya but will leave a lasting imprint in our hearts . Expression of gratitude and comfort to her loved ones for their support to our friend and cancer companion . Rest in peace Tanya .

I remember when I first met Tanya at Blackburn South Eye Clinic - working both as Orthoptists 25 years ago. We formed a friendship that extended across our working life to where we both landed - working at CERA over the last few years. We shared some grounding chats Tanya and I, that mainly ended with a laugh! I will miss her deeply and extend my heartfelt condolences to her loving family.
