Phil Bevan — 20 March 2026

Jean was a great friend of our family over many years and will be sadly missed. She was a warm, interesting, energetic and strong woman who was a close and longtime friend of mum and dad, Audrey and Eric Bevan. Audrey, Warrens cousin, first met Jean when she went to work in London in the early 1950s. They had the time of their lives going to plays and events and mum was eternally grateful for the friendship and hospitality Jean and Warren showed her at the time. The friendship lasted some 70 years, through their move to Australia, as the kids came along, as Warren passed - up until Jeans later years on the NSW north coast. Mum would visit our macadamia farm near Alstonville from Sydney every month and always make sure she arranged a catchup with Jean - on the farm or at the Brunswick Heads pub. Mum passed 5 years ago but would be shedding a tear along with us today. Phil and Dale Bevan
