Geraldine Mead — 7 July 2026

My heart is broken saying goodbye to my beautiful cousin Ger.I was so proud to be named after you, even though I always grew up calling you Aunty Ger. You were such a special part of my life and of our family. Some of my happiest memories are from when I was a kid helping in your pubs by washing glasses (definitely child labour, but I loved every minute of it!) Then there were those unforgettable early driving days after you got your licence I still remember the white-knuckle moments, and thankfully I was able to take over the driving! We laughed about those times for years. One of my favourite chapters was when you bought your home just up the road from Mum (Nora). Those cups of tea, long chats, and the simple pleasure of being close by are memories Ill always treasure. You were loved by so many because you had such a kind heart, a wonderful sense of humour, and a way of making people feel at home. I will always be grateful for the love, laughter, and memories we shared.Rest peacefully, my dear Ger. Thank you for everything, for the memories, the laughs, and the love. You will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I will miss you more than words can say.All my love, always.Ger
