Tony provided the opportunity for many children in the Port Phillip area (and beyond) to experience planting indigenous plants and learning about being in the urban outdoors. His encouragement and gentle nature inspired me, as a teacher, to keep finding ways to engage children with a love and care for nature in our city. Hundreds of children have been part of building nature in our city at Westgate Park thanks to Tony's efforts to engage the community in actions that make a difference. I will miss him.
