Nikos!!! Ole!!! Vale!!! Amigo !!!I am missing you my friend. Paul rang me and told me the sad news. Like what the?! Oh man it was a shock. And I felt somewhat angry too because I didn't reach out to catch up with you earlier, especially when I found you on the Midnight Oil facebook pages. I was looking for Melissa to be honest (bless her - I hope she's still here with us), and there you were sharing your passion on social-media online to the rest of the world. I think it was during the Oils' USA tour and later here in Australia when I went and saw them in Townsville - yet again! How many times have we seen them live? I lost count. But of course the best gig of all was us all out sweating it at the Kooyong Stadium gig of 1984 (if I remember correctly). Hey Nano not Here! Or remember me saying - "When I walk on the moon!"? OMG that set us all off on a fit of laughter, because they were the words I thought Garrett said at the start of the Only the Strong (official - When I'm locked in my room). I remember later you also teaching me US Forces on the guitar. I had no idea that background sound was the synth at the same time as the riff. Pssst well I did, but I pretended I didn't remember (computer nerds like me invented the synth Nikos!). LOLRemember that New Year's eve when we had cars for the first time, and drove down to Rosebud for NYE party on the beach? God my dad's tent got ripped that night being so drunk falling into it.Oh and you coming over to my place in Chaddy commenting on my dad having everything and anything to fix our cars with? wow... such great memories mate.Everytime I play Oils now (and I do almost every day), I am thinking of you, Paul, all of us just having a blast as kids back in the 80s. What a great era that was.One day I'll come and visit you and have a laugh again.
