Jan Fook — 10 November 2019

Tets (as she invited me to call her) was a remarkable woman, capable of much, and perhaps sometimes under-estimated. She was a complex character, who mastered major hardships and challenges, the like of which most of us would find difficult to imagine. Her capacity for resourcefulness and resilience was needed countless times. She chose to devote these capabilities to giving a life to her son Allan. She therefore leaves a legacy, through his life and work, which will continue to grow and benefit the world. I like to think that even she can't imagine the scope of what she has helped to contribute to, but she should definitely go in peace knowing she did her best and it will continue to be appreciated long after she has left.
