Family Message

In accordance with current regulations, there will be a private invitation only funeral.

As Leonie didn’t wish for a funeral, we felt given the times, this small affair would not upset her equilibrium too greatly. We’ll celebrate her passion for teaching, her taste in art, clothes and jewellery, her involvement in the left and more recently community led urban development issues, her daily cappuccino at the best coffee shops, her empathy and sense of fairness, her love of travel, her verdant garden, and finally her support for people ranging from buying a new treasure to fighting the good fight. It is our intention, due to the interest already shown, to develop a bursary in her name, and we’d love your presence at the launch sometime in the new year. Leonie’s funeral will not be streamed, but we’d be delighted by any online contributions from her community.
