Jean - the beautiful Baroness of Broadview Apts for many years. I was so lucky to share some of that time with her. My special, magical friend. We laughed every day. Jean was so missed when she and Mr Darcy moved to Melbourne.Once met, never forgotten.

I really enjoyed the chats I had with Jean especially during our lockdown morning teas. She had wonderful stories to tell of her life and adventures.

Jean was truly a special person who meant so much to all of us here at Clifton Hill.Jean was, in every sense, like a queen among us. There was a presence about her a quiet grace, a dignity, and a warmth that made her stand out in the most beautiful way. When Jean walked into a room, she didnt just enter it she lit it up. Her smile, her gentle nature, and her calm spirit brought comfort and joy to those around her.She had a true love for flowers and in many ways, she was just like them. Elegant, vibrant, and full of life. She brought colour and beauty into our days, often in the simplest but most meaningful ways.Jean was always kind. Always gentle. She treated everyone with warmth and respect, and in return, she was deeply loved by all of us staff, residents, and families alike. Her presence at Clifton Hill was something truly special. And while we are so grateful to have shared this time with her, it is impossible to ignore the space she leaves behind. It will not be the same without her.Jean will always remain a part of this community in our memories, in our stories, and in the kindness she showed us that continues to inspire how we care for one another.Rest peacefully, Jean. You will be deeply missed, and never forgotten.

Jean was a great friend of our family over many years and will be sadly missed. She was a warm, interesting, energetic and strong woman who was a close and longtime friend of mum and dad, Audrey and Eric Bevan. Audrey, Warrens cousin, first met Jean when she went to work in London in the early 1950s. They had the time of their lives going to plays and events and mum was eternally grateful for the friendship and hospitality Jean and Warren showed her at the time. The friendship lasted some 70 years, through their move to Australia, as the kids came along, as Warren passed - up until Jeans later years on the NSW north coast. Mum would visit our macadamia farm near Alstonville from Sydney every month and always make sure she arranged a catchup with Jean - on the farm or at the Brunswick Heads pub. Mum passed 5 years ago but would be shedding a tear along with us today. Phil and Dale Bevan
