I am saddened to hear the loss of dear Dr ji, whom we knew since childhood days. He became a good family Dr and a friend and we had been invited to his house for dinner couple of times yet we were always frightened to meet or see him in person as we always got an injection when visiting to see him in surgery which embarrassed us infront of our parents even as adolescents in our bums. We remembered Dr ji, who always said during examinations lumba sass Leo We all healed well once visited him in surgery and he often used to come to the house for home visits too. Bless Dr ji onto his onward journey and may dear god give the family strength and courage to accept the unexpected. My Mum would not change her Dr as she always healed from Dr ji. God bless his soul and may rest in peace.Condolences from Sehmi family.

It is always sad to see member of your family go, but this is reality and all we are left with is memories. He was my Mama and I will fondly miss his gregarious voice and amazing command of verses from scripture and the intellectual discourse that followed. My career path was changed by him turning up late for dinner at his own house where we were the invited guests. Only because one of his patients had some kind of medical emergency. At that point i , who was poised to leave for India to pursue medical career decided that if being a doctor means forgoing your own leisure time for others was not how i wanted to live. So I went to London instead and became a Chartered Accountant. Such are moments that get inscribed in life changing events. God bless you Mama, and be happy wherever you are now. Love you indeed.

Doctorshaeb was a family member to us in Kisumu and was a close confidant of my Dad, Mohanbhai Vyas who took his advice on many issues and challenges he faced in Kisumu. He inspired and motivated my dad to send me and my twin brother Harish to Canada for post graduate studies. He was kind, humble and a religious individual who was highly respected in the Indian community in Kisumu. A medical instance which is etched in my memory is when (1961?) he and a visiting doctor from Nairobi sutured my accident wounds in his office without giving anesthesia .I received 70 stitches on my face. My eight siblings and my mother received excellent medical advice and care from doctorshaeb at times with short notices. On Many occasions he would come for house calls too. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family at this difficult moment and may doctorshaebs soul rest in eternal peace. Shanti.
