A gentle, intelligent, witty and endearing soul. James just understood. He would challenge your thinking and long nights of discussion would ensue. His unique spirit gave me joy and intrigue: wondering what would be up for discussion next. His love for his children was immense, he took such joy in their presence. James was always there. We let time slip by and when catching up, nothing had changed. We shared a great friend's love and i will miss one of the most meaningful people in my life, my oldest friend of 30yrs, what will we do without you? RIP my friend

James was a great man , a perfectionist. I remember working with him on completing a document and he would have continuous reviews till it was perfect. A smart man with a lot of wit and humour, I again cannot believe he is no more. Rest in peace James we will all miss you. Condolences to his family.

James, a great bloke with a sharp mind. Every conversation we had held something amusing, engaging or informative. I will miss your off-beat humour and your philosophical insights. Rest in peace sir.

I feet truly blessed to have had such an amazing friend such as James, a friendship that has spanned over 22 years. One of the most caring, kind hearted souls i have ever come across, he would do anything to make make you smile. This mixed with his amazing yet slightly eccentric, sense of humour and also the ability to talk about any subject at any time of the day or night made James one in a billion. He will be sorely missed by me and i am sure many, many more. Love you James NickSticks Xxxxx

The cricket world has lost one of its great admirers. More importantly, we have all lost a friend with a sharp intellect and relentless enthusiasm. However, if he has bequeathed to his children one part of himself, then let it be his ability welcome anyone to his circle. His eager enjoyment of the company of others was buoyant and infectious.

Very glad to have had the chance to get to meet and know James a little over the last two years. His lust for life, sharply observant intellect, combined with a twinkle a nod and a wink made him crazy good company.
Very sad not to have had the chance to get to know him better.

James was a wonderful man and a massive influence on my life, with out him I would not have been able to continue working in music. .My condolences to his family and friends. He'll never be far from my thoughts. He's was and will always be, a reminder to be better man and to strive for the sublime, true and pure. A truly enlightened soul. Love you mate. I won't let you down. Rest in peace Jimmy. Cjo
