I met Christine in Barbaras Italian class. It was a joy to know Christine, her warm personality and sense of humour brought so much to our group. We miss her.

My memory of Christine is as a fun and interested fellow student of Italian. Our regular classes with Barbie were a highlight of my week, they included lots of wonderful travel stories - Christine was always able to throw in some random Spanish just to liven things up!

My heart is heavy as I farewell you Chris, but I take solace knowing you are finally at peace. You endured so much but were always so brave and optimistic, an inspiration to us all. You brought light into our lives. You will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Farewell dear friend.

I am in Naples this week, for a trip planned with Chris and Enzo earlier in the year. We had been discussing this for a few months, I booked tickets. But the setbacks endured by Chris made her more determined to travel back to Italy. I have met Chris and Enzo (and Giuliana and Emilia) several times in Rome over the years. I would travel from London when they arrived in Rome. This was going to be another memorable trip for us, I am saddened that I wont see Chris again and I am thinking of Enzo and the girls always. Over 50 years of friendship, companionship and welcoming arms seemed to last forever, until last week. Vale Chris. Xxx

Chris and I met at YBLGC in 2019. We were both learning how to play golf and shared our challenges and successes. She was friendly and welcoming and a great support to me in this new environment. She is fondly remembered.

I worked with Chris at the University of Melbourne and her approach was always with grace and humour. I will always value her support and her underlying strength of character - I learnt so much. Xxxxx

My heart is heavy as I say goodbye to you, Chris, my dear friend who fought with grace and resilience through a long and courageous battle. I am profoundly grateful for every laugh, story, and moment we shared you taught me the true meaning of strength. My world feels a little emptier without you, but I take solace in knowing you have finally found peace and the legacy of kindness and courage you leave behind. Thank you, Chris, for being such a bright light. Thinking and sending lots of love to Enzo, Giuliana, Emilia and your treasured Gabriella and GiorgioI know they will carry your spirit in their hearts forever.

Its a miracle that it didnt end 40 years ago deep in the Amazon for Wheels and I, when we dodged almost certain murder and or death by wild animals deep in the jungle. But weve dined out on that story enough. Suffice to say, we were eternally grateful for the lives that followed. For Wheels that included succumbing to Enzos deep and enduring love, the births of their beautiful daughters Giuliana and Emilia, and an amazing career all set in a blissfully happy family life in Ivanhoe. And for Wheels and I, our friendship continued to grow in new dimensions as we raised our babies to maturity alongside each other. With lots of adventures and new friendships along the way the biking, cryptics, yoga, swimming, the holidays. When we took our girls backpacking after school it cemented lifelong bonds. My girls absolutely adore their Aunty Wheels and their almost sisters as do I. My heart feels broken right now for all that she has endured and she will be so dearly missed. Big loves to Enz, Giuliana, Emilia, the magnificent Whelehan and Bisogni families and dear friends. She was indeed one of the best.

I had the privilege of knowing Chris through YBLGC. We served together on the golf committee, had lots of laughs and good times on and off the course. She is very fondly remembered by our members who knew her. A lovely warm, gentle and caring woman.

Chris was one of my Mum Vickis favorite humans. Chris was one of those rare souls who made you feel seen, heard, and remembered. She lived with intention, always staying connected with those she loved. She didnt just keep in touch, she showed up, time and again, with warmth, sincerity, and that beautiful laugh well all carry in our memories. In the business world Chris was someone to look up to and she was very inspiring. But what stood out most was how she never lost sight of what mattered: people. She brought our family into hers, not out of obligation, but because thats who she was: generous, inclusive, and full of heart.Ill always smile when I think of the night Enzo was away and Chris hosted dinner. It was a gorgeous three-course meal he had lovingly prepared but without him there, the one thing left was boiling the rice and Chris hadnt the faintest idea where to start. We laughed, we improvised, and got to enjoy the delicious meal. Chris was kind. She was curious. She brought energy and light into every space she entered. And my mum treasured their friendship more than words could ever say.Sending the biggest love to Emilia, Giuliana, Enzo, and all the extended family. May you feel surrounded by the same deep care and love that Chris gave so freely to others. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.
